REMULCUS
Graece ῥυμουλκὸς est, unde ῥυμουλκεῖν, τῷ ῥυμῷ ἕλκειν, de navibus, quae fune trahuntur, apud Auctorem Peripli Maris Erythr. Sic ῥυμὸς, remus: quomodo lotum tubae vocâsse Veters, Servius auctor est. Vide Salmas. ad Solin. p. 1116. coeterum remum Capae, latitudinem eius Plateae invenerunt, Plin. l. 7. c. 56.
